A retro-futuristic 3D environment created over the course of 2+
months as part of the 3D Environment Design course by ArtCraft School.
This scene represents a crew lounge aboard a utilitarian space vessel — a gritty, analog-driven rest bay for tired engineers and maintenance bots. The design draws inspiration from 1970s sci-fi aesthetics, blending warm lighting, heavy materials, and dated tech: CRT monitors, reel-to-reel decks, modular panels, and soft cornered architecture.
While some assets were taken from libraries, the composition, lighting, and modular kitbash were crafted in Blender, with Substance Painter for texturing and Unreal Engine 5 for real-time rendering.
